OPEN TO REMOTE OPPORTUNITIES

Technical thinking.
Human connection.
Reliable results.

I’m Tristan, a diagnostic technician and line lead who loves learning, creating, and solving problems. I believe great teamwork starts with clear communication, a safe environment, and remembering that we’re all human.

Personality, mistakes, and successes are all part of building something together. I try to bring an open mind, pay attention, and stay ready to learn. Becoming a dad has given me even more appreciation for that every day.

Open to remote IT, technical support, and engineering support opportunities.

01 / EXPERTISE

Where I make
a difference.

From diagnosing server hardware to helping someone understand the next step, I connect technical detail with clear communication.

Hardware & diagnostics

I use Linux and MobaXterm to navigate directories and search failure information, tracing the actual issue instead of relying only on the reported failure type.

Server diagnosticsHardware troubleshootingRoot cause investigation

Technical support

Phone and chat support, website and advertising troubleshooting, and calm, clear handling of escalated issues.

People & process

Leading technicians, training teammates, tracking equipment, and keeping operational information organized.

Trusted with confidential work

I’ve worked under NDA agreements at Amazon, Jabil, and in animation projects. Clear boundaries matter to me. Tell me what can be shared and what needs to stay confidential, and I’ll respect it.

From diagnosis to repair

I handle assignments from beginner through expert complexity, including cable management, wire splicing, control and data switch work, and component replacement. I use existing scripts to update equipment and rerun tests, and investigate whether failures come from workmanship damage, vendor defects, or defective electrical equipment.

02 / SELECTED WORK

See a problem.
Build a better way.

If I see room to improve how we work, I take action. These are tools and contributions from my current role.

The descriptions below explain my approach. The workbooks, source documents, and operational data contain proprietary information and cannot be shared under NDA.

EXCEL / OPERATIONS

My Line Lead Tool

I built a workbook that brings my daily responsibilities into one place, from quick reference links to tracking active issues and planning the next task.

The need
Keep operational information, technician resources, and my own priorities organized while supporting six technicians and performing diagnostic work.
What I built
A workbook with dedicated tabs for the different parts of a line lead’s day.
  • A resource hub with job links, quick access to data, and debugging links I can share with technicians.
  • A pod tracker covering asset identifiers, failure types, incident age before and after debugging, affected utilization, assigned technicians, and current status.
  • Tracking for assets approaching completion.
  • A task queue showing priorities, my current assignment, and where I’ll be working.
  • A duties checklist with an end of shift self assessment.

How I use it: To keep priorities visible, follow an issue through debugging, and give the team clear updates about what’s happening next.

ONEDRIVE / TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION

A practical technician wiki

I created a reference document to help technicians understand what they’re debugging, what to do next, and how to complete the work.

The need
Give the team guidance they can revisit while building their understanding of the equipment.
What I built
Debugging instructions alongside explanations of hardware functions and cabling, so the guide covers both the steps and the reasoning behind them.

How I use it: As a shared reference alongside daily questions and debugging assistance. Technical documentation is my strongest skill, and I enjoy making complicated work easier to understand.

Clear communication matters

Resource links, technician assignments, current status, and priority lists help me make the next step clear and keep teammates informed.

DEBUGGING RESULTS

About 600 units. 94% accuracy.

I measure debugging accuracy by whether a unit returns with the same failure type after I’ve debugged it. The 94% figure reflects units that did not return with that same failure type.

SAFETY / RECOGNITION

Bronze award nomination

I helped with safety coordination by escalating an electrical safety concern and offering practical recommendations. I was nominated for a bronze award for a safety escalation relating to electrical rerouting and improved work efficiency. Site details remain confidential.
